Private yacht charters and sailing experiences – 4 hours $1095 / 8 hours $1995

Try something different and go sailing on the waters of Geographe Bay in Australia’s South West. We have a range of options from short bay cruises with the dolphins, to weekend holidays at the beaches of Dunsborough or Busselton. Our yacht can accommodate up to 6 guests.

Anchor for lunch, or relax on the deck and soak up the sun and the sea air. Have a go at steering the yacht or take a swim off the swim platform. Whatever you choose, we can make the day a lot of fun and leave you with some great memories.

We can arrange full provisioning from simple sailors fare through to a delightful range of ship’s cuisine. On request we can also arrange a hostess to look after your needs.

Weekend sailing trips in Geographe Bay – $795 per person (2 days / 1 night)

Join us for a fantastic weekend sailing adventure as we cruise along the WA coastline. This is an excellent chance to gain more sea miles and practice your navigation and boat handling skills or just to get away for the weekend and have fun sailing a beautiful yacht.

We depart Port Geographe Marina at 0900 on a Saturday morning and sail to Busselton and Geographe Bay. Take the helm and experience sailing an amazing Beneteau 41 ocean going cruising yacht. After a fun packed day we will spend the night on our Quindalup mooring or in Port Geographe marina before enjoying another fun day on the water on Sunday finishing back at the marina by 1600.

If you are new to sailing, this is a great way to see if the cruising life is for you! Your meals are included whilst onboard and Joeanne ensures that the menu is always delicious and made from fresh local ingredients. 					  Hi, my name is Gianluca Cavaiola, I'm an Italian kiteboarder and surfer and the last October I had my first sailing experience with Gary, the instructor and owner of Oceanwest... read more Charter. I started from the "Competent Crew" sailing course and after that, I literally couldn't stop. The course was amazing, on a beautiful boat (Oceanis 41.1) at Geographe Bay near Busselton. During this course, I've learned so much, and for this reason, I decided to run through the theory courses (day skipper and Coastal skipper theory courses). I passed the theory exams and I went back on board of Gary's boat for two more weeks. During these two weeks, I become Day skipper and Coastal skipper and I had two perfect instructors: Gary and Nick. Their teaching techniques are brilliant, they always had the answer to all my questions and doubts. During the Coastal Skipper course, I had a chat with Gary and together we decided that my skills were high enough to give a try to the Yacht-Master exam. So, I booked one more practical course in may and Gary prepared myself for the exam in the best way possible. On the first day of the preparation course I was completely scared about the exam, but day after day, thanks to Gary I felt better and when the exam on Saturday came I was 100% ready and relaxed for it. After a long examination day, I passed my exam. My season with Oceanwest has been amazing and I couldn't imagine achieving this goal just in few months. I strongly recommend Oceanwest, a perfect sailing school for everyone and for every sailing level. The instructor skills and experience are so high that for me was always a good moment to learn something.  I'm proud that I've been one of your first students and also your last one for this season. Thank you, I do hope to see you soon for more.

The boat is lovely and in excellent condition. There were opportunities to stop for lunch and have a swim, and the food was really nice and there was lots of it.
