Private yacht charters and sailing experiences – 4 hours $1095 / 8 hours $1995

Try something different and go sailing on the waters of Geographe Bay in Australia’s South West. We have a range of options from short bay cruises with the dolphins, to weekend holidays at the beaches of Dunsborough or Busselton. Our yacht can accommodate up to 6 guests.

Anchor for lunch, or relax on the deck and soak up the sun and the sea air. Have a go at steering the yacht or take a swim off the swim platform. Whatever you choose, we can make the day a lot of fun and leave you with some great memories.

We can arrange full provisioning from simple sailors fare through to a delightful range of ship’s cuisine. On request we can also arrange a hostess to look after your needs.

Weekend sailing trips in Geographe Bay – $795 per person (2 days / 1 night)

Join us for a fantastic weekend sailing adventure as we cruise along the WA coastline. This is an excellent chance to gain more sea miles and practice your navigation and boat handling skills or just to get away for the weekend and have fun sailing a beautiful yacht.

We depart Port Geographe Marina at 0900 on a Saturday morning and sail to Busselton and Geographe Bay. Take the helm and experience sailing an amazing Beneteau 41 ocean going cruising yacht. After a fun packed day we will spend the night on our Quindalup mooring or in Port Geographe marina before enjoying another fun day on the water on Sunday finishing back at the marina by 1600.

If you are new to sailing, this is a great way to see if the cruising life is for you! Your meals are included whilst onboard and Joeanne ensures that the menu is always delicious and made from fresh local ingredients. 					  Just returned from a two week adventure sailing trip from Exmouth to Bunbury, it was a fantastic 14 days of learning and adventure. We were welcomed to the yacht early... read more and helped to settle in. Made to feel very welcome. Great introductions and given time to discuss what we wanted to gain from our time on-board. 

Fantastic yacht, Samsara is a delight to sail and it is a genuine privilege to spend time aboard. The food was varied and plentiful, with careful attention to victualling so that there was always easily accessible and wholesome food available. 

Very professional, great instruction focused to individual requirements offering a very enjoyable environment to learn. Nick was so knowledgeable, not only about sailing but also any wildlife we encountered, always willing to share his knowledge. He was inspiring and encouraging throughout the journey, even when asked questions during the night watches. Nick carefully took time to reflect on any skills that needed further development before giving us the opportunity to practice them further. We had varied conditions from calm seas to some challenging conditions, with far too many highlights to mention snorkelling in the Abrolhos islands, the humpbacks, sailing out of Steep Point or through Shark Bay so many.  

It was truly a memorable experience, and I cannot recommend Oceanwest Charters highly enough.

The boat is lovely and in excellent condition. There were opportunities to stop for lunch and have a swim, and the food was really nice and there was lots of it.

					  I realise my header sounds a bit corny, but nevertheless true. I’ve spend 50 years on the water sailing windsurfers, day sailers and leisure yachts. Self taught, I thought it... read more was about time to learn how to do

it properly. So after 50hrs of theory (I’m not a good student) I was booked with Nick MacPherson to complete my ‘practical’. WOW!..I learned more in 5 days than I had in my 50 years on the water and Nick’s patience, attention to detail and great humour made it an overall great experience! So, if you are serious about sailing, I strongly suggest you join Oceanwest and you’ll come out a much better sailer on the other side. Thanks Nick/Gary!
