Package 1 – The Aspiring Dayskipper – $2650 Monohull / $2750 Catamaran (RYA Dayskipper theory course and RYA Dayskipper 5 day practical course)
Previous experience needed: – Practical sailing skills to RYA Competent Crew level, (recommended 5 days sea time, 100 miles, 4 night hours), minimum age 16
This discounted package is great for the aspiring skipper. You will already have some sailing experience and are now looking to improve your skills with a navigation course and practical sailing course. This combination of the RYA Dayskipper practical and theory courses will really help you to feel confident when you skipper a yacht. The RYA Dayskipper Practical Certificate and ICC will allow you to charter yachts in most countries. Please see the relevant pages for full course information on the Dayskipper theory and Dayskipper practical courses. Sailing courses operate with a maximum of 5 students and one instructor.
What’s included in the Aspiring Dayskipper?
RYA Dayskipper Online Theory course (using the Navathome online programme), RYA Dayskipper Student pack – (Course workbook, RYA Dayskipper Theory handbook, training almanac, practice charts, plotter and divider set), 5 day RYA Dayskipper Practical course, RYA Dayskipper Practical handbook, RYA Sail Cruising Logbook, RYA Dayskipper Certificate and ICC application instructions.

Please note – you will have 6 months access to the online Dayskipper theory programme, and this can be extended for a further six months if necessary for a payment of $60 to Navathome

Package 2 – The Coastal Skipper Package – $2675 (RYA Coastal / Yachtmaster theory course and RYA Coastal Skipper 5 day practical course)
Previous experience needed: – Minimum age 17, Theory knowledge to RYA Dayskipper Theory course level and practical sailing skills to RYA Dayskipper level (recommended 15 days sea time, 2 days as skipper, 300 miles, 8 night hours)
This is a great discounted package for those who have gained their RYA Dayskipper qualification and want to move on to the next level, or for those more experienced skippers who have got a theory knowledge and sailing experience equivalent to the RYA Dayskipper standard and are looking to consolidate their experience, learn more advanced skippering and sailing techniques and gain an internationally recognised qualification. What’s included in the Coastal Skipper Package?
RYA Coastal / Yachtmaster online theory course (using the Navathome online programme) and RYA Coastal Skipper practical 5 day course, RYA logbook, RYA Coastal / Yachtmaster Theory course certificate and RYA Coastal Skipper Practical certificate. This package does not include the Portland Plotter and brass divider set, but these can be purchased at checkout for $50.
